Ami Hordes

Ami is a partner in the International Commercial Department.

Ami specializes in equity and debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, as well as a wide range of other complex transactions and matters relating to securities law and corporate law.

Ami has many years of experience, through which he advises on investment transactions for a diverse client base, including venture capital funds and institutional investors, public companies, family offices, and private investors.

With a meticulous attention to detail, while maintaining a focus on his clients’ broader objectives, Ami leads transactions from the term sheet stage through to closing. He drafts and negotiates transaction documents in a way that both protects his clients’ legal and commercial interests and reflects the understandings reached with their business partners.

Even after a transaction is completed, Ami continues to serve as a trusted and active advisor, providing ongoing counsel on follow-on investments, exit transactions, corporate governance matters, and the enforcement of contractual and other stakeholder rights.

Ami also has extensive experience representing corporate clients, including industry leaders and multinational corporations, as well as high-tech, biotech, and early-stage companies at various stages of growth and maturity. His work spans financing rounds from pre-seed through pre-IPO, as well as joint ventures and acquisitions.

Prior to joining the firm, Ami served as a clerk to the Honorable Justice Tzvi Tal at the Supreme Court of Israel. He graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Yeshiva University in 1993, and earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1996, where he served as a senior editor of the Journal of International Business Law.
