Yaniv is a partner in the Litigation Department and heads the firm’s Competition and Antitrust practice.
Yaniv specializes in civil-commercial litigation, class actions, and antitrust law, and also provides the firm’s clients with ongoing legal counsel in corporate law.
As part of his commercial litigation practice, Yaniv represents clients in complex proceedings before courts, arbitration tribunals, and mediation processes, including the resolution of large-scale civil disputes and the representation of defendants in derivative actions and class actions in the fields of consumer protection, communications, insurance, and competition.
Yaniv has extensive expertise and many years of accumulated experience in Israeli competition law. He regularly advises his clients on a wide range of competition law matters, including the filing of complex merger notifications, providing legal opinions on all aspects of competition law, and advising monopolies, trade associations, and complex commercial transactions—both domestic and international—from the stage of due diligence and assessing risks related to information exchange between competitors, through structuring transaction terms, and up to obtaining approval (where required) from the Israel Competition Authority.
Yaniv advises and represents clients in investigations and examinations conducted by the Israel Competition Authority, including in administrative and criminal proceedings, and also represents clients in civil and class action litigation before the competent courts. In addition, Yaniv assists in the development and implementation of internal compliance and enforcement programs as part of his clients’ proper legal governance.
Yaniv previously served as a member of the Antitrust Committee of the Israel Bar Association.
Among Yaniv’s clients are leading companies in the Israeli economy, including in the energy, food, retail, transportation, industry, and engineering sectors, among others.
